After playing for years in an eclectic high school garage band that included a classically trained violinist, Cradle Cat (Marcus Wadell) put live music on hold while attending Indiana University - but developed his songwriting from his dorm room. He started recording ideas in GarageBand, contributing to some of his "bedroom pop" influences. In his EP, Future Self, he introduces a style reminiscent of Matt and Kim's cheery tone and the lyrical pace of Twenty One Pilots. Marcus infuses his singer-songwriter background with melodic hooks, fast-paced lyrics, and a well-rounded indie / electronic-pop soundscape mixed and mastered by platinum-winning audio engineer Corey Miller.
